2022 Solar Farm Projects
Happy – 137.17MW DC
Conway Solar at Happy, Arkansas, will include more than 300,000 solar panels installed on approximately 700 acres of land. The 135-megawatt solar farm is expected to be complete by mid-2023 and will deliver clean, renewable energy to the city. The Conway solar panels will generate enough electricity to power more than 21,400 homes. The construction of the Conway solar farm has also created an estimated 200 jobs for the local economy.
Black Bear – 132.32MW DC
Orbital Solar is the engineering, procurement and construction provider for the Black Bear solar project. The project constructed an expansive stretch of solar panels set to generate enough power to provide electricity to 20,000 homes in Alabama. Orbital Solar also provided job opportunities to individuals through Unbound Horizons, a comprehensive training program offering job opportunities to local communities.
